It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything new about Aesoland and its perilous monsters, but that’s about to change because we just got confirmation of the second closed beta for Monster Hunter Outlanders. And that’s not everything. It seems that many features are coming to the second closed beta test that will allow fledgling adventurers to get the hang of this new adventure, as well as face some of the perilous monsters TiMi Studio and Capcom have prepared for us. So, without further ado, here’s everything you can expect for the second closed beta of Monster Hunter Outlanders.
All Features Coming to the Second Closed Beta of Monster Hunter Outlanders
As many of you already know, TiMi Studio unveiled the date for the second closed beta test of Monster Hunter Outlanders, which kicks off on April 29 at 02:00 UTC. Those lucky ones to be part of the test will get to try many familiar features from the first closed beta, but also a plethora of new additions exclusive to this test.
For starters, players will get to try out their Fated Adventurer, which is the main character they can customize and can wield any weapon. However, there are also new Adventurers they can try, each one belonging to the three unique roles of Monster Hunter Outlanders: Assault, Disruptor, and Support. Also, in terms of what weapons you’ll be able to try out, the second closed beta will feature Great Sword, Long Sword, Dual Blades, Bow, Heavy Bowgun, and Lance.
Since this will be a new Monster Hunter adventure on mobile, TiMi Studio has gone above and beyond to keep that iconic fast-paced gameplay but also adapt it to a mobile environment. Players will be able to choose between Classic Mode and Adventure Mode when fighting. The former feels more akin to what we’ve seen in the mainline series, while the latter is more of a beginner-friendly mode, tailored to those who are not used to mobile UIs or are new to the series.
One important thing to note is that, regardless of your Combat Mode, players will enjoy the Auto-Focus camera and Part Lock-On features, both of which allow Adventurers to target specific monster parts more easily, as well as keep track of the monster at all times.
As for what type of content you can expect in the beta, you’ll be able to try the single-player mode with four characters at the same time, as well as the Co-Op Skills, which are new, powerful moves that trigger once you break a monster part in a short period of time. The developers have also announced an event for the beta featuring the legendary Kushala Daora monster, so make sure to try it while the beta is up.
Last but certainly not least, there are several monsters coming to Monster Hunter Outlanders, including Diablos, Rathian, Anjanath, Paolumu, Great Jagras, and Tobi-Kadachi. And of course, the long-awaited Radiant Monsters, exclusive to Outlanders, which, as the developers have said, are not a reskin of existing monsters, but challenging new variants that will test even the most battle-hardened hunters out there.
So, if you were lucky enough to get an invite for the second closed beta of Monster Hunter Outlanders, get ready to jump into Aesoland and start testing this new hunting ground. Just remember that this build is still in development, and any progress you make during the test will be wiped. Still, it is an excellent way to get the hang of these new systems and jump into another grand Monster Hunter adventure.
