The third wave of Monster Hunter Now Season 10 is bringing more Riftborne and Riftcharged monsters into the mix. But for those who prefer soaring through the skies rather than touching grass, the spotlight is on one weapon. The game is adding the long-awaited Style Customization for select Insect Glaives. Whether you’re here as a Kinsect fan or for the grind, here’s everything coming with Season 10 Wave 3.
Monster Hunter Now Season 10 Wave 3 Schedule

The third Wave of Monster Hunter Now Season 10 starts from August 17, 2026, at 9:00 AM until September 15, 2026, at 11:59 PM.
The Riftborne Mizutsune (★8) is taking center stage during this Wave’s Outbreak. As usual, prepare your best Thunder or Dragon LBG or HBG to farm the bubbly monster. Otherwise, you might also want to try using a Magnamalo/Bazelgeuse Gunlance with Partbreaker Level 5 and Lock On.
Since the Gunlance comes with Blast status, additional proc damage, and Partbreaker should make breaking Mizutsune’s head faster. When its head is broken or taken enough damage, Mizutsune will always topple, so you want to exploit that weakness. Meanwhile, the Lock On, while not exactly necessary, helps to reliably focus all attacks on its head.
Sign-up opens on Friday, August 21, 2026, and don’t miss these windows if you’re looking to pile up those rare Mizutsune materials.

Base Defense Target: Riftborne Glavenus

- Period: September 7, 2026 (Monday) – September 15, 2026 (Tuesday)
- Target: Riftcharged Glavenus.
- Weakness: Water, Dragon.
| Featured Defense Weapons | Defense Points Bonus |
| Shogun Ceanataur, Mizutsune weapons & Tropical Cannon | 60% |
| Paolumu weapons | 30% |
Most Hunters will most definitely focus on Ceanataur and Mizutsune weapons, since their Water damage is effective against Glavenus. Nevertheless, Paolumu weapons aren’t exactly dead weight; Paolumu Hunting Horn and Light Bowgun can still help boost your Base Defense score.
Lumu Blitz LBG comes with Water Ammo x6 and Slicing Water Ammo x2, making it a solid option against the fiery Glavenus. The Health Boost skill is rather useless, but depending on your set/build, it might help you tank fatal hits.
Meanwhile, the Lumu Horn HH comes with Sleep Negated, Wind Pressure Resistance, and Attack Up L. That Attack Up will be handy for your whole party during Base Defense. It also adds one level of Divine Blessing, which, again, could help you survive dangerous attacks.
Style Customization Details for Insect Glaive

With the Season 10 Wave 3 update, Insect Glaive is finally getting its Style Selection options: Kinsect Slash and Awakened Kinsect Attack.
- Kinsect Slash: Focuses on airborne attacks with Forward Roundslash and Kinsect Slash. Works great when combined with consistent DPS skills like Burst, Skyward Striker, and Combo Master.
- Awakened Kinsect Attack: Lets you throw an Awakened Kinsect at the target monster for massive damage. Best paired with Focus and Rapid Kinsect to make filling up the Extract gauge faster.
- Style Selection can be used for these Insect Glaives:
