Those who’ve longed for the return of one of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne‘s most stylish Layered Armors can finally rejoice. Ever since the expansion introduced the extremely flashy and cool ninja-like scarf, it has been a fan-requested returning armor piece for future titles. Thanks to this week’s Event Quest, the Sealed Dragon Cloth is finally making a comeback in Monster Hunter Wilds.
The Event Quest to unlock the Sealed Dragon Cloth α is called ★5 “Running Wild.” It tasks Hunters at HR 21 or higher with taking down a Guardian Fulgur Anjanath in the Ruins of Wyveria. Completing it rewards you with the material used to forge the Sealed Dragon Cloth α headgear.
It’s a fight that packs a bite and not all thunder, so come prepared with proper armor and weapons. If you don’t want to get stunned, get at least +20 on Thunder Resistance. That way, you’ll not be inflicted with Thunderblight. Fulgur Anjanath itself is weak against Ice, Water, and Dragon weapons. We suggest taking something like the Speartuna Freezer Great Sword if you haven’t crafted an Artian weapons yet.
The Sealed Dragon Cloth quest in Monster Hunter Wilds is available starting:
- Starts: May 20 at 17:00 PDT
- Ends: June 3 at 16:59 PDT.

That means you’ve got about two weeks to snag the headgear before it disappears! It might take a while until the Sealed Dragon Cloth quest returns in Monster Hunter Wilds event rotation. We probably will have to wait until the summer festival and Lagiacrus update to farm the material again.
But that’s not all. If you’re looking to stock up on your Meal ingredients, there are two additional Event Quests BBQ-loving Hunters wouldn’t want to miss. Both of these food-themed quests are open to Hunters HR 9 and above and run until May 27:
- “Romping Around” ★4 Quest: Sends you to the Oilwell Basin to hunt a Rompopolo and earn Mud Shrimp.
- “Peak Nerscylla” ★4 Quest: Takes place in Iceshard Cliffs, where you’ll hunt a Nerscylla for Fluffy Eggs.
Whether you’re grinding for iconic fashion piece or food buffs, this week’s Monster Hunter Wilds Event Quests are definitely well worth the hunt.
