Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2 Content Leaked Early by PlayStation

Dedicated Hunters are still waiting for more Title Update 2 news from next week’s Capcom Spotlight. But it looks like PlayStation has let the sleeping Lagiacrus out of the trap early. Monster Hunter Wilds page on Playstation Network has accidentally revealed what’s coming in Title Update 2. It won’t simply bring back two fan-favorite monsters — but also one of the most requested features in the series.

First of all, let’s talk monsters. Title Update 2, scheduled to drop on June 30, 2025, finally marks Lagiacrus’s long-awaited return. The iconic Leviathan’s last showing was 7 years ago in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate in 2018. But the real surprise might be the second monster, which hasn’t been namedropped in the PSN page or hinted at by Capcom itself. Although dataminers think they’ve already cracked the code.

According to leaked game files, Seregios could be joining the hunt. Assets for Hunter and Palico weapons and armor based on the spiky Flying Wyvern were already discovered, hinting at its inclusion in Title Update 2.

Following Rey Dau, Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2 introduces Arch-Tempered Uth Duna, a stronger version of the Scarlet Forest’s apex predator. If you’re up for the challenge, taking it down will net you a unique Gamma (γ) armor set. Arch-Tempered Rey Dau is a welcome change of pace after the rather disappointing base version, so we’ll see how it could stack up.

Also coming is a long-requested feature: Layered Weapons. If you are sick of being stuck using Artian Dual Blades just because of the stats, this one’s for you. The new system will finally let Hunters customize their weapons’ appearance without messing with its power or builds.

For those less into high-stakes battles and more into goofy cosmetics, Title Update 2 isn’t skimping on fashion hunting. Expect new event quest rewards like Doshaguma Mask, a gesture set, and some paid DLC featuring sleek, Palico-inspired streetwear armor. Now you can hunt while dressing up like an urban gamer.

All that’s left is to wait until Capcom Spotlight drops on 26 June for the juicy details on Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2. Either way, Hunters, get your Water-and-Thunder Resistance gear and Fire weapons ready. Lagiacrus hunting season is coming.
