Spring has sprung, and with it comes an egg-ceptional seasonal event. The Monster Hunter Now Spring Festival 2025 is giving players two weeks to hunt a new monster and collect exclusive bunny-themed goodies. Starting from April 14, the long-awaited debut of Ebony Odogaron will appear across all habitats. Dishing out Dragon damage, it drops Death Garon materials and the new Bleeding Edge armor skill. It offers a high risk, high reward playstyle; raises your Affinity but inflicts Bleed on your Hunter.
Players can also collect Spring Eggs and rarer Rainbow Eggs by hunting select monsters like Ebony Odogaron, Kulu-Ya-Ku, and Lagombi. These Eggs can be exchanged for unique items at the Event Exchange Hub, including upgrade Tickets, materials, and event-exclusive gear:
- Bunny Head headgear with four random color variations and Artful Dodger Lv. 3.
- Balloon Blade Great Sword.
- Egg Strongarm Charge Blade.
Need more Eggs? Starting April 18, break apart Giant Egg Toys in Hunt-a-thons for a crack at bonus materials. You can even net a Rainbow Egg if you’re lucky.

- Egg-holding Kulu-Ya-Ku: During the event, all Kulu-Ya-Ku that appear on the field will be holding Spring-exclusive Eggs!
Spring Eggs and Rainbow Eggs
- Slay target monsters for a guaranteed Spring Egg from monsters 7★ and below. From 8★ and above, you’ll receive either a Spring Egg or a Rainbow Egg (low chance).
- In group hunt rewards, 7★ and below monsters will also guarantee a Spring Egg, while 8★ and above monsters will grant either a Spring Egg or a Rainbow Egg (low chance).
Break Giant Egg Toys in Hunt-a-thons
- From Friday, April 18th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. (local time), you are guaranteed to encounter a 6★ or 8★ Giant Egg Toy for your final hunt at Hunt-a-thon points.
- Giant Egg Toys have 10 breakable parts, each marked with a sticker. Breaking these parts guarantees you either a Spring Egg or, on 8★+ Eggs, a low chance of a Rainbow Egg, as broken part rewards. It’s a great opportunity to collect a bunch of Spring Eggs all at once!
- Plus, if you spot a gold sticker underneath the Egg, break it for a bonus: On 6★ Giant Egg Toys, you’ll get a large number of Spring Eggs. On 8★ Giant Egg Toys, you’ll get a guaranteed Rainbow Egg.
Other bonuses
- During the event, these monsters will appear more frequently in the following habitats.
- Ebony Odogaron: forest / desert / swamp / tundra habitats
- Kulu-Ya-Ku: forest / desert / swamp habitats
- Lagombi: tundra habitats
- More monsters will appear across the field.
- There will be some event-exclusive Hunt-a-thon points featuring Ebony Odogaron, Kulu-Ya-Ku, and Lagombi.
Event-Exclusive Quests
- Two limited-time quests will be available, each rewarding items such as Spring Eggs and Rainbow Eggs.
- Quests that are available throughout the event
- Between Monday, April 14th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. and Sunday, April 27th, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (local time), take on limited-time quests that include slaying Ebony Odogaron and Kulu-Ya-Ku.

Additional Monster: Ebony Odogaron
Ebony Odogaron is significantly more ferocious than its regular counterpart and has been spotted emitting black smoke from its mouth! It can be found in all habitats (forest, desert, swamp, tundra).
*Ebony Odogaron cannot be selected in the Monster Tracker.
