Monster Hunter Wilds Flamefete Festival Marks Permanent Arch-Tempered Quests and the Return of the Legendary Cornpopper

Capcom is finally turning up the heat — and the party — in spite of the negative user reviews. Running from July 23 through August 6, Monster Hunter Wilds is celebrating summer with the Festival of Accord: Flamefete. This limited-time seasonal event transforms the Grand Hub into a sun-soaked celebration complete with exclusive rewards. For those of you who’re still enjoying hunting Lagiacrus and Seregios in full HD, now there are more reasons to log in daily.

When Does the Flamefete Festival Start?

The event kicks off on July 23 at 7 PM PDT / 10 PM EDT and runs until August 6, 2025. That gives players just under three weeks to grab special gear, complete festive event quests, and enjoy the summer-themed content.

Just like the Blossomdance Festival, the Grand Hub is getting another makeover during the event period. The hub is decked out in beach-ready decor complete with palm trees and even a brand-new musical performance from the Diva to set the mood. The Barrel Bombs in the Bowling section are replaced with beach balls and watermelons for a sandy twist. A new long-awaited seasonal meal — a mouth-watering grilled meat buffet — is also available to enjoy before heading out on quests.

By logging in and completing daily Bounties, players can earn special Flamefete Tickets. The item is used to unlock various event gear and rewards:

  • Afi Armor Set: A summer-inspired armor perfect for the season.
  • Water Gun Gesture: Allows player to spraying fellow Hunters in and out of quests.
  • Exclusive Event Quests armor sets, including:
    • The Diver α Armor Set for Hunters.
    • The Felyne Aloha α Set for your Palico.
    • The classice, fan-favorite Cornpopper Gunlance.

Aside from the visual treats, Capcom has finally delivered on a long-requested feature: permanent Arch-Tempered quests. Starting July 23, the Arch-Tempered Uth Duna and Rey Dau event quests will be available at all times via the Quest Board. Presumably, this will affect any future Arch-Tempered monsters as well.

But of course, that’s not all; Monster Hunter Wilds NPCs are joining in the Flamefete summer fun too! Alma, Erik, and Gemma are getting a summer getup and will be available as paid DLC after the event ends. The Hunter’s Guild leader, Fabius, is also dropping in to help you out as Support Hunter during the event period.

Don’t forget to grab your tickets, spray your friends, and claim that explosive corn before it’s gone. This is one summer celebration no Hunters want to miss out on.
