Where to Find Acorns in Grounded 2 (& Best Farming Locations)

It might not seem like it, but Acorns, despite their size, are quite challenging to find. To make matters worse, Acorns are vital to crafting many items in the game, from armor to upgrades. For that reason, we’ve created a guide to help you find Acorns in Grounded 2, as well as some tips on where the best places to farm this resource are. As a warning, though, bring some weapons because some creepy crawlers will prevent you from grabbing these nuts.

In general, you can find Acorns almost everywhere on the map, but that doesn’t narrow it down. Fortunately, there is one specific spot in one of the two starting areas that is relatively safe and houses many Acorns.

If you want to get a few Acorns that are guaranteed to spawn after a few days, you must head south of the first Ranger Outpost and north of the large Oak Tree. You can use the image below as a reference.

You’ll encounter a large root, and it will usually have three to four acorns. Beyond those, you’ll also find a few Acorns around the root, especially where the Spiderling webs are. As we mentioned before, bring a few weapons because there are a lot of Spiderlings and at least two Orb Weavers tend to spawn around. Also, and it might be obvious, but we’re still mentioning in case you forget, get the Omni-Hammer I module first because you won’t be able to break Acorns without it.

Recipes that Require Acorns

Once you get your Acorn Shells and Tops, you can start crafting items, stations, armor, and more. Here are some of the recipes that require Acorn parts:

  • Acorn Top:
    • Acorn Face Mask
    • Hatchery
    • Spinning Wheel
    • Sap Catcher
    • Acorn Fence
    • Smoothie Station
    • Sign Frame
    • Garden Patch
  • Acorn Shells
    • Acorn Face Mask
    • Acorn Plate
    • Acorn Greaves
    • Sturdy Shell
    • Pebblet Axe Wall Mount
    • Pebblet Hammer Wall Mount
    • Acorn Shovel Wall Mount
    • Repair Tool Wall Mount
    • Weevil Wall Mount
    • Mite Wall Mount
    • Red Soldier Ant Wall Mount
    • Water Container
    • Red Worker Ant Wall Mount
    • Hatchery
    • Ant Nest
    • Aphid Wall Mount
    • Acorn Fence
    • Sign Frame
    • Storage Chest
    • Larva Wall Mount
    • Grub Wall Mount
    • Spiderling Wall Mount

While there are a lot of recipes that require Acorn parts, the most important ones are the ones that require Acorn Tops, as those unlock new functions, let you craft consumables, and even allow you to hatch Buggies. So, make sure to visit the abovementioned location every few days and stock up on some Acorns in case you need to build different stations for all your bases.
