How To Get Silk Rope in Grounded 2 (& How to Use It)

While you’ll have to obtain most of the resources in Grounded 2 from the map and use them raw, a few others can only be obtained by crafting them first, such as Silk Rope. This sticky and valuable material can only be collected after crafting one specific station and bringing a lot of web fibers. If you want the exact process of how to get Silk Rope in Grounded 2, this guide should help you.

To get Silk Rope in Grounded 2, you’ll first need to build a Spinning Wheel. The game never tells you this, so it is normal to be confused, especially if you’re looking at some recipes that need Silk Rope and you have no way of getting it. But don’t worry, as soon as you craft the Spinning Wheel, you can start queuing up your Silk Rope production, but first, here’s what you need for the crafting station:

  • Acorn Top x2
  • Clay x4
  • Red Ant Part x4
  • Sap x3
  • Crude Rope x4

Once you have these materials, find a suitable spot inside your base to put down your Spinning Wheel and start crafting.

To craft Silk Rope, you’ll only need one piece of Web Fiber, which is easy to get, assuming you don’t mind fighting a few eight-legged menaces.

To get Web Fiber, all you must do is defeat Spiderlings, Orb Weavers, or attack Webs in the open. Each of these will drop at least one Web Fiber, which you can then return to your base to use in your Spinning Wheel. The easiest place to farm Web Fiber is outside of the Snackbar Anthill. There are a lot of Spiderlings and Orb Weavers around. You can also head toward the Oak Tree or the Picnic Table, but you might find larger Spiders there.

It is important to remember that each Silk Rope takes around three minutes to craft, so you can queue a few of them and go out to explore while they are ready. Once you have a few Silk Ropes, you can start crafting some Tier II Armor, such as the Weaver Set, which is excellent for Rogues.
