Easiest Way to Farm Freezer Sac in Monster Hunter Wilds

Besides taking down gigantic monsters, the next big task for all hunters is grinding materials almost endlessly, or up to the point when you can finally craft that long-awaited armor or weapon. Among said materials, it is the Freezer Sac, which can take a while to get, as there are only two monsters that provide it in the game. To make farming easier, we’ve made a guide to show you how to easily obtain Freezer Sac in Monster Hunter Wilds.

Where To Find Freezer Sac in Monster Hunter Wilds

Right now, getting Freezer Sac in Monster Hunter Wilds is a bit challenging, as you can only obtain it through hunting or capturing these monsters:

  • Hirabami (HR)
  • Jin Dahaad (HR)

For Hirabami, there’s a 20% of the Freezer Sac dropping, while Jin Dahaad has an 18% chance. It is important to note that you need to either hunt or capture them; you won’t get Freezer Sacs by breaking parts or carving.

On the other hand, you can also get some of these items as possible rewards from these quests:

  • Echoing From the Cliffs
  • Fleeting Victory
  • Frozen Lord on the Precipice
  • Secure Wounded Hollow
  • When Frost Falls

Again, there’s only a chance of the item dropping from completing these quests, so your best bet is to farm them constantly until you get the Freezer Sac. If you only want to focus on one quest, focusing on Secure Wounded Follow might be the best approach, as it has two Hirabami monsters.

How To Use Freezer Sac

Once you get your Freezer Sac, you can use the item to craft and upgrade the following items:

Armor/WeaponRequired for CraftingRequired for Upgrading
Windbrace Bow II63
Windthrash Charger II63
Windpierce Lance II63
Windshear Light II63
Windsunder Axe II63
Frozen Speartuna IIN/A4
Windclaw Blade IIN/A3
Hirabami Mail (Alpha)1N/A

Blango Coil (Alpha)3N/A
Blango Coil (Beta)3N/A
Dahaad Shardcoil (Alpha)3N/A
Dahaad Shardcoil (Beta)3N/A
Escape Charm III4N/A

If you are going for the most efficient way to farm Freezer Sac, your best bet is to focus on the abovementioned quests. Fortunately, this item has a higher drop rate compared to other materials, so you should be able to get all you need after a few quest runs.
