Capcom released a hotfix update on April 16 that fixed many fatal bugs and glitches in Monster Hunter Wilds. Most notably, the company finally removed many cheaters that filled up the Arena Quest leaderboards and lowered the requirements for obtaining the Arena-exclusive Pendants. The other significant fix is the removal of the Infinite Sliding glitch activated by abusing the Azuz’s Greetings gesture.
Personally, we also encountered the Zoh Shia quest crash quite often. It’s safe to say that the writer’s game crashed once every five hunts, ruining the challenging grinds. While some are overjoyed over the fixes, many are unexpectedly upset — as it changed how Meal Vouchers works.
Before the April 16 update, when someone used a Meal Voucher, everyone in the same lobby will get its effect as well. Yep, the whole 100-player lobby can eat any regional dishes at the Grand Hub for free. It does sound a bit too generous but nobody batted an eye. After all, that’s how it worked in all previous Monster Hunter games; albeit those games featured only 4-player or 16-player lobbies at maximum.

Now, no thanks to the hotfix, the Meal Voucher effect is applied to only four people that joined the same Link Party at maximum. As expected, this fix ended up riling up the fanbase as people enjoyed sharing their Vouchers with fellow Hunters.
“Seriously, this feels like it would be a completely natural thing to have,” wrote GoldDrake123 in their Reddit thread. “Not to mention the meal vouchers are already relatively hard to come by, so having someone give everybody a meal would be a much appreciated gesture.”
“THIS WAS UNINTENTIONAL?!” replied AstalosBoltz914 in the thread completely baffled.
Anubra_Khan chimed in, “I thought this was the point of them,” referring to how Vouchers work in older games.
“Game devs fixing only the bugs that make the game better,” complained Kamken.
We doubt Capcom would roll back the update just to add back this ‘feature.’ At best, maybe in the future, Meal Voucher effect is applied to everyone’s standing by in the Grand Hub but you shouldn’t hold your knife.
