Easiest Way to Farm Decorations in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne

Besides getting layered armor, you’ll also spend your post-game time farming Decorations in Monster Hunter World. However, it is easier said than done. Farming these items might frustrate you more than fighting two Rathalos at once. For that reason, we’ve made a guide to the easiest and best ways to farm Decorations in MHW Iceborne. It will still take some time, but if you don’t mind the grinding, then you should be good.

The Best Methods to Farm Decorations in MHW Iceborne

If you want to get as many Decorations as possible in MHW Iceborne, then you’ll have to get familiar with Event Quests. These quests are the best when it comes to Deco farming. There are six of them that will reward you with Bonus decoration (more on that below), and there are also a few High-Rank Events you can tackle for extra rewards. Below is a list of every quest you should watch out for.

Quest NameTarget MonsterDecoration Rewards
★9 The Greatest JagrasGreatest JagrasLevel 1-2, grab the shinies on the ground
★9 The Name’s Lavasioth!Tempered LavasiothLevel 2-3, grab the shinies on the ground
M★6 The Wrath of Thunder DescendsTempered ZinogreLevel 4, Rarity 9-12
M★6 In the Tempest’s WakeTempered Kushala DaoraLevel 4, Rarity 11-12
M★6 Day of RuinTempered TeostraLevel 4, Rarity 11-12
M★6 The Cold Never Bothered MeTempered LunastraLevel 4, Rarity 11-12

Assuming you’re not keen on farming the same thing over and over to get more Decorations in MHW Iceborne, there are a few different things you can do to mix things up a little. Melding Decorations is always a great option. Just head to the Elder Melder NPC on the game’s hubs to get started. By now, you should have a few cheap Decorations, which you can meld into new ones.

If you have a good build, Tempered Monster Investigations quests are great for getting decorations in MHW Iceborne, too. Always tackle the ones that reward Feystones, which will be appraised at the end.

To sum it up, these are the best methods to get Decos in MHW Iceborne:

  1. Event Quests (Two for High Rank, and four for Master Rank).
  2. Melding (Elder Melder NPC).
  3. Tempered Investigations (Grab the ones with Purble Boxes).

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Staff Writer for Monster Hunter HQ. Started his MH journey with World and quickly got addicted to it. He has spent more hours than he can count fighting Uth Duna, and will continue to do so until that gem drops. When not playing Monster Hunter, you'll find him in his favorite game ever: FFXIV or trying to add more mods to Project Zomboid.
