What Does The Diva Buffs Do in Monster Hunter Wilds? Explained

The Diva is an enigmatic songstress that can appear in the Grand Hall social hub. While they might not be the same person, a Wyverian singer was first introduced in Monster Hunter Dos and succeeded by other performers in 4 and Frontier. In the older games, their appearances were just there to add charm and flavor to the Gathering Hub without any gameplay impact. Now, in Monster Hunter Wilds, the Diva’s performance isn’t just eye and ear candy as it actually grants useful buffs.

Basically, the buff you get from Diva works like consuming a Well-Done Steak, an Armorskin, and a Mega Demondrug. It increases your Health, Stamina, Defense, and Attack as well as health regeneration for 30 minutes during hunts or expeditions. Below are the details of which stats that gained boost from the Grand Hall song:

  • +50 maximum Health.
  • +25 maximum Stamina.
  • +7 Attack.
  • +15 Defense.
  • Increased red health recovery speed.

The stats boost will be granted to you when you visit her in the Grand Hall at night and watch her performance until the end. The Diva will sing the Monster Hunter Wilds credits song for around 2 minutes. Afterward, the “Stats boosted thanks to the Diva’s voice of prayer and gratitude” notification should pop up and gives you the buff.

However, the songstress will not always perform as she only has a small chance to appear during the night in the Grand Hall. To make things even harder, you cannot Rest and change the time while you’re hanging out in the Grand Hall. This means, if you really want to attend her show, you’ll have to wait every night to see if the Diva takes the stage.

But if she did appear and you missed her performance, don’t worry. You actually is given two chances to watch Diva since she perform twice when she shows up.

Last but not least, do keep in mind that Diva buffs don’t stack with other consumables. That means, you cannot get +14 Attack from drinking a Mega Demondrug and watching Diva’s show. Also, since Mega Armorskin gives a higher +25 Defense boost than Diva’s song, her buff will be replaced if you drink the item.
