All Ore Types and Where To Get Them in Monster Hunter Wilds

There are many types of materials you can find during your hunts. One of them is Ore, which is obtained from the Mining Outcrop nodes scattered all over the hunting maps. These are mostly used to craft new armor and weapons. However, each area will yield a different type of Ores when mined. This Monster Hunter WIlds guide list all Ores you can gather in the game and where you can find them.

Mining Outcrops Areas

  • Windward Plains: 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 9, 10, 17.
  • Scarlet Forest: 8, 12, 13.
  • Oilwell Basin: 4, 6, 7, 13, 14, 17.
  • Iceshard Cliffs: 8, 16.
  • Ruins of Wyveria: In front of the Main Camp, Area 5.

Mining Outcrops usually regenerates every 15 minutes after you first mined them. Use armor or decorations with the Geologist Armor Skill to increase the amount of items you can gather from Outcrops.

  1. Geologist Level 1: One extra item when gathering from bonepiles.
  2. Geologist Level 2: Additionally adds one extra item when gathering special items.
  3. Geologist Level 3: Additionally adds one extra item when gathering from mining outcrops.

Aside from Ore to craft armor and weapons, there are items you can mine from different type of outcrops. These are used to trade items with villagers, mostly the ones in Azuz, Wudwud Hideout, and Sild.

Mining Locations

Rarer Ores used as trading currencies with villagers often only appear during specific times called Emergence event. When these random events show up, a notification will appear and marked in the Environment Overview of an area. Press Square/X/G key while on the overworld map to check the Environment Overview.

  • Fulgurite Crystals: Windward Plains. Area 3, 7.
  • Amber Deposit: Scarlet Forest. Area 1, 2, 3, 10, 12.
  • Colossal Amber: Colossal Amber Emergence event.
    • Scarlet Forest.
  • Hopper Crystal Ore: Oilwell Basin. Area 13, 14.
  • Giant Hopper Crystal: Giant Hopper Crystal Emergence event at Plenty or Fallow season.
    • Oilwell Basin.
  • Wylky Gemstone:
    • Windward Plains: Area 14.
    • Oilwell Basin. Area 18.
  • Whitegleam Gemstone: Ruins of Wyveria. Area 4, 5.
  • Wylky Crystal Outcrop: Wylky Crystal Outcrop Emergence event at Inclemency season.
    • Windward Plains.
    • Oilwell Basin.
    • Ruins of Wyveria.
